Hellmut Brunn

Hellmut Ottheinrich Brunn, a native of Mainz, Germany, is a German lawyer, author, journalist and political scientist. He studied at the Freie Universität Westberlin in the mid-1960s. His focus as a lawyer was in the areas of criminal, administrative and civil law. He practiced law in Frankfurt and Kronberg. He retired as a lawyer in 2011 and is currently living in Munich.

Dr. Brunn is wellknown as an expert in development aid for Africa and Asia and has supported the „Society for Technical Cooperation” in Eschborn. He worked as a consultant and manager in this area for a number of years. In 2004 he published his highly acclaimed book ‘Rechtsanwälte Linksanwälte’.

His hobbies include travelling (he has visited 57 countries) and spending time in Italy at the his home close to the town of La Spezia. He speaks basic Italian and loves Italian culture and art.

He is married, has two children and three grandchildren.
