Michael Thake is half Maltese and half Austrian. He has a keen interest in international relations and graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester with a BA in International Relations and Politics. He holds a MA in diplomatic studies from the University of Malta and the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna. He enjoys identifying the root causes of societal problems, climate change, international conflicts and defense issues with a focus on the EU and Maltese politics, as well as international development subjects. He has worked as a consultant, policy officer and adviser.
